Spitting Fire
Spitting Fire follows a week-long workshop led by spoken word artist and teacher Joe Davis as he meets, works, and performs with youth who are part of The Boston Project in Dorchester, MA. The film highlights Joe’s use of art as a means of “practicing freedom” and experiencing joy in the face of challenge. Together, Joe and the youth demonstrate how art can support hope, resistance, and really good time.
